Design A New Community

New_bubble_textArmstrong Village will present the Geelong community with an exciting new lifestyle experience positioned close to the city and on the doorstep to Victoria’s surf coast.

Located within the Armstrong Creek West Precinct, Villawood Properties’ vision for Armstrong Village includes a plethora of community facilities with parks, playgrounds, schools, wetlands and more.

The Armstrong Creek waterway meanders through the heart of this upcoming development and will be complemented by a series of wetlands, extensive walking tracks, boardwalks and bike paths.

As well as a central community hub featuring shopping facilities, eateries and other community facilities, Armstrong Village will comprise an array of community parklands, natural reserves and open space.

As we work toward a plan for the Armstrong Creek West Precinct we want your suggestions on what to include as part of this special new community for Geelong's newest suburb.

Armstrong Village Online, a community intranet, has been created for you, the community, to have your say on the development of Armstrong Village.  To join in the fun and post a comment on the development of the Armstrong Village community, simply go to www.armstrongvillageonline.com.au and register as a member.

We look forward to receiving your comments and feedback on what makes a great community.

Alamanda wins UDIA award

Property_Review

Villawood Properties and ISPT residential estate Alamanda has won the 2010 Urban Development Institute of Australia 'Residential Development' award.

The 1500-lot Alamanda community is located in the heart of Point Cook, 20 kilometres west of Melbourne.

The project has already won Victoria's best residential development in December last year.

Alamanda is also one of Victoria's first master-planned residential communities to comply with the Federal Government's National Broadband Network initiative and address the issue of broadband internet access for Point Cook residents.

Villawood executive director Rory Costelloe said the foresight has proven a success in more ways than one.

"It has been our goal to bring first class amentiy to the buyers and residents of Alamanda as soon as possible which has been a huge boon for the people that are already living there and those looking to purchase.

"Following state-wide acclaim, the national award is further reinforcement of our vision to up the ante on residential development while ensuring our project prices remain in reach of all buyer profiles," Costelloe said.

A STAR with Forest Donation

forestSTARSolidifying its place at the forefront of sustainable development, Villawood Properties has recently donated 109 hectares of forested land to the Victorian Government.

The donation is a direct result of Villawood’s forestSTAR program and part of the Positive Change initiative. Initially commenced in April 2008, under forestSTAR for every block of land purchased in a Villawood community, an equivalent portion of forested land is being donated back to Victoria’s State Forests.

Formally accepted by the Hon. Gavin Jennings Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Innovation on Friday 21 May, the donated land is located within the Greater Bendigo National Park and will assist in preserving Victoria’s natural forest areas.

Villawood’s lovable Positive Change platypus mascot ‘Waddles’ is flying the flag for sustainability in new communities.

The face of Villawood’s sustainable initiatives, Waddles is a busy platypus that can help you through the Positive Change process.
